How do I fit my Cormar Carpet?

Unless you are an experienced carpet fitter, we always advise you not to fit it yourself! After all, you’ve spent your hard-earned money on a nice new carpet, so it would be wise to invest in a little bit more and get it fitted properly. It will be well worth it in the long run and proper fitting will help your carpet last longer!

Which underlay should I use for my Cormar carpet?

We always recommend fitting a good quality underlay, professionally fitted by an experienced carpet fitter. Your local Cormar retailer will have plenty of options to advise on which is the best choice for you.

How do I measure carpet for stairs?

Stairs can be tricky to measure, so we always recommend you speak to a local retailer and use an experienced carpet fitter for stairs. But to a rough idea of the quantity you are likely to need, click here. It’s worth noting that on many occasions the carpet for the stairs can be taken from the excess width, generated from other rooms.

What size widths do Cormar carpets come in?

Most of our carpets come in either 4 metre or 5 metre widths. Please check the product information or technical specifications provided. Please note that 4 and 5 metre wide carpet come from different production batches, so matching between 4 & 5 metre widths cannot be guaranteed. Therefore it makes sense to have your carpet installation planned from one width (ie either 4 or 5 metre).
