Stair Runners

Most of our customers want to enjoy the softness of modern stair carpets and are looking to make a real feature of their staircase, which is why a stair runner provides the perfect solution. A stair runner may once have been seen as a more budget option; a covering that could be laid in a strip and secured in place with stair rods, a practical solution and less expensive to fit. However, carpets have come on in leaps and bounds in recent years, and with new technology and exciting developments like being able to add your own creative flair, the traditional stair runner is now a hugely popular contemporary trend.

The choices are endless when it comes to carpeting your stairs, carpet fitters have limitless techniques. You can now also have your chosen carpet finished with a contrasting border - a smart appealing look that allows plenty of space for the natural build of your stairs to breathe. Why cover up the appeal of your Victorian woodwork and bannisters, or your mid-century smooth visual lines? A stair runner will also visually extend the appearance of your staircase making it look wider and more substantial.

Over recent years, customers have been inspired by our striped stair carpet ideas. There's no pattern quite so classic and versatile as a good stripe. They are simple, yet make a statement, and are a great way to transform your stairs. Whether you go elegant or bold, bright or muted, decorating with striped carpets allows you to add a new dimension. Gentle tones tend to create a real impact and make the staircase a stylish feature.
