We moved from a new build, to a renovation a few days before Christmas in 2023 which was quite a culture shock for us to say the least. Whilst we had a vision, it was difficult to live in a space that didn’t align with us in any sense. We worked hard tackling each room at a time, but until the gorgeous new carpets were fitted, no space felt like home.
The final piece of the puzzle for us was when the stairs and landing carpet was fitted, this meant we not only had gorgeous new flooring everywhere in the house and no exposed floorboards, but we went from living in a project to a home.
Cormar Carpets stood out to us instantly from the rest, we were immediately drawn to the soft, luxurious feel of the Riva range. We chose the shade Arcadia for all of our bedrooms and living room to give a seamless, neutral feel. We’ve had some of these carpets fitted for over a year now and they’re still as fluffy underfoot as the day we had them installed.
For the stairs and landing, we wanted a durable woven carpet, as we knew it was an area that would receive more traffic. We opted for the Malabar Two Fold carpet in the shade Llama and it’s given us the most perfect country, cosy feel to the space, transforming our entrance hallway.
