My husband and I moved into our current home in 2005, it was only 4 years old at the time so essentially was a new build property. It was perfect for us in terms of space and room size, particularly as our family grew, but definitely needed some character and my own personal touch adding to it.

Over the years we have redecorated various rooms, many times, but the one thing that hasn’t changed is that we have always had Cormar Carpets. We had a cream wool twist carpet initially and then changed that to a slightly darker grey tone carpet from the Home Counties range in 2015.

I decided to try an alternative look to the standard wool twist carpet that we had previously, and was drawn to the Malabar Two Fold range - a gorgeous 100% wool loop carpet in a choice of beautiful neutrals. I opted for the colour Flagstone, as it was that perfect greige tone, not too cream and not too grey. I also had a section of the carpet whipped with a striking black edging and used this as a stair runner.

I’m so pleased with the choice, it really is perfect in our home and it feels good to stick with a brand I know and trust.
