Vacancy: Process Operative - Sample Department

Holme Mill - Ramsbottom

Reports to: Sample Department Manager

Hours per week: 40 hours per week (plus reasonable overtime during periods of high demand)

Main Duties: Contribute to the effective running of Cormar’s sampling operation.  Main duties on a rota will include whipping and assisting with the make up and despatch of website sampling, as well as the production, picking, packing and despatching of sample sets and pieces. Training will be given on cutting & pressing carpet, labelling, cassette making, packaging & distribution of sampling.

Other duties will be required as from time to time directed by Team Leader / Line Manager. As the role involves significant amounts of manual handling on a daily basis, successful applicants must be able to lift to the Manual Handling Regulations (minimum guidelines of 16kg for women and 25kg for men).

Skills / Qualifications:

  • A willingness to train on the FLT and LLOP
  • Ability to communicate effectively within the team and in the wider organisation
  • Knowledge of how the department works and how it fits in with the rest of the organisation
  • Ability to work under pressure and to agreed deadlines
  • IT and administration skills commensurate with effectively fulfilling the role
  • Reliable, conscientious and motivated to carry out the tasks required
