Cormar Carpets at the Peak of Mt.Kilimanjaro
A Cormar Carpets employee has completed the climb of his life, trekking up Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for charity.
Cormar Carpets sponsored Area Salesman Dennis Johnson who covers the Leicestershire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire territory along with a team of 10 others from rotary clubs in Northampton. And in recognition of the company’s support, Dennis planted a Cormar flag at the peak!
The group raised over £4,000 which will be split between the Warwickshire and Northants Air Ambulance and the Rotary Polio Plus Campaign.
Out of the team setting out on the expedition, Dennis was one of eight that managed to scale the 5,895 metres to the top of Africa’s highest mountain “Without a doubt it was the hardest thing I have ever done. But with the combined support of friends, relatives, Cormar customers and the Cormar Carpets itself, I was able to complete this mammoth journey.” Said Dennis.
The Warwickshire and Northants Air Ambulance provides emergency medical services for the area, transporting to and from scenes of serious incidents and saving countless lives. The Rotary Polio Plus Campaign is an international Rotary Club campaign to eradicate polio worldwide.
