Title: Process Operative

Reports to: Sample Department Manager

Based at: Holme Mill

Hours per week: 40 (plus reasonable overtime during periods of high demand)

Main Duties:

Contribute to the effective running of Cormar’s sampling operation. 

Main duties on a rota will include whipping and assisting with the make up and despatch of website sampling. Training will be given on cutting & pressing carpet, labelling, cassette making, packaging & distribution of sampling.

Other duties will be required as from time to time directed by Team Leader / Line Manager.

As the role involves significant amounts of manual handling on a daily basis successful applicants must be able to lift to the Manual Handling Regulations (minimum guidelines of 16kg for women and 25kg for men)

  • Ensure product quality is to required standards.
  • Flexibly cover team and other duties as required.
  • Maintain agreed house-keeping standards

  • Support Team Leader to deliver the above objectives

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively within the team and in the wider organisation
  • Knowledge of how the department works and how it fits in with the rest of the organisation
  • Ability to work under pressure and to agreed deadlines
  • IT and administration skills commensurate with effectively fulfilling the role
  • Reliable, conscientious and motivated to carry out the tasks required
