Title: FP&A Manager

Reports to: Head of Finance

Based at: Brookhouse Mill

Job purpose: A newly created role to further strengthen the role of Finance in supporting and challenging business performance and decisions. Reporting to the Head of Finance and leading a small team of Business Partners, this role will be responsible for a range of duties including:

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Management:

  • Lead the activities of a small business partnering team with key stakeholders at all levels across the business and providing ongoing support with projects, analysis and monthly reporting

 

Business Partnering:

  • Engage with all of the business including Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Procurement, Manufacturing, Distribution, Customer Experience, IT to support and challenge performance
  • Responsible for the Capex process and all necessary analysis in support of developing business cases to achieve sign off of investment
  • Review and challenge proposals/business cases
  • Support for sales team in pricing reviews and sales territory changes

 

Planning:

  • Coordination of the annual budgeting process, working with the business to identify risks and issues and support the development of the internal reviews, leadership challenge and Board discussions
  • Forecasting: provide up to date forward views of expected performance by working with the business, leading the process and analysing financial results identifying risks and opportunities whilst reviewing against actual results
  • Develop and continuously improve planning models

 

Analysis and Reporting:

  • Improving the flow and quality of financial information which is available
  • Interpreting data, analysing results, making proposals
  • Providing ongoing reports
  • Work with the management team to prioritise business and information needs
  • Work with BI and IT teams to ensure the team has access to the necessary data on a timely basis
  • Ad-hoc reports, continuous improvement and process reviews

Other:

  • Cover team duties as required
  • Understand how own role and KPI’s impact on organisation and department objectives
  • Support Head of Finance to deliver the above

 

Skills / Qualifications:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • Able to demonstrate relevant experience of leading a team and adding value to Finance and the business, minimum 3-5 years PQE
  • Commercial awareness and business partnering skills
  • Advanced excel user
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work with data sets from multiple systems with a clear aim of understanding and communicating performance
  • Good communicator
  • The ability to adapt skills, support and assist other work areas whenever necessary
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Ability to concentrate within a busy environment
  • Experience of ERP in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable
