Cormar Carpets Win Best Customer Service Award for the 2nd Year
Cormar Carpets has been awarded Interiors Monthly magazine’s Best Flooring Customer Service, voted for by readers of the leading Interiors Trade magazine for the 2nd year running.
Not only have Cormar Carpets picked up the Best Flooring Customer Service Award for 2010, it is also the third award that the leading UK Carpet Manufacturer has won this year. Cormar Carpets have already been voted Flooring Supplier the Year by the Metro Retail Buying Group for the 11th consecutive year, and the Flooring One Retail Buying Group Supplier of the Year for the sixth time.
David Judge, managing director of Cormar Carpets says “Service encompasses all aspects of the business and it is one of the areas on which we have always concentrated hard . 2010 has been a tough year for the carpet and flooring industry and as a result carpet retailers are looking for suppliers that they can rely on. After all, their reputation is on the line every time they place an order.”

Over the past five years Cormar carpets has continuously invested in the plant, people, machinery and distribution to keep itself competitive. This has included a new backing plant extension, which increased capacity whilst at the same time reducing gas consumption; an expanded sales team; and the introduction of eight new vehicles that conform to Euro 5 specification making them the latest in vehicle technology.
Cormar’s own nationwide delivery fleet has become an important part of its offer to independent carpet retailers, differentiating it from many of its competitors. Over £2million has been invested in building the in-house fleet of 58 DAF trucks that deliver direct to customers throughout the UK and Ireland.
By operating its own distribution network, Cormar is able to maintain high levels of service, providing over 90% of all carpet cut length deliveries to Britain and Ireland within 48 hours from receipt of order. It is estimated that the vehicles cover two million miles every year.
