Cormar own and operate one of the largest flooring distribution fleets in the UK, delivering nationwide via over 70 trucks to carpet retailers throughout the working week. This month we are the proud recipients of seven brand new Leyland DAF tractor units, to add to the extensive Cormar delivery fleet.
The new units will operate out of our factory in Bury, Lancashire, transporting stock to our southern distribution centre in Hemel Hempstead. The new tractor units have been sourced locally from Lancashire DAF, based in Leyland. As a family run, British manufacturer, we believe it’s important to continue to work with local, British companies where possible.
Gary Mitchell, Cormar’s distribution manager said “We continue to invest in new trucks to ensure we achieve the high service levels that our customers have come to rely on, whilst complying with environmental standards. DAF trucks are a favourite with our drivers and it’s great to work with another local business.”
Operational later this month, these trucks will showcase the latest Cormar branding and will be responsible for transporting around a million square metres of carpet per year - ensuring that Cormar continue to deliver promptly and on time.
